Travel again in Vietnam

9th Vietnam Pump&Valve, HVACR and Maritime Exhibition were held in Ho Chi Minh from 5—7 of March in TEBCC. It took three days and Beijing Ann’s delegation tour was from 3-9 of March. All the tour members were gathering in the Shanghai Pudong Airport and they are familiar with each other and the entire journey was pleasant. All the exhibitors were lookin forward to the success of the exhibition no matter they have came or not.

Border Entry
“RMB!Charge!Gong xi fa cai and I wish you have a prosprity year” the broken Chinese is widely used in the Airport entry check point.
“What are you going to charge for”
“All the Chinese understand what I am talking about”
“For a cup of coffee”
To me, it is normal thing for border officer request pocket money from Chinese and the scene has been see many time by myself in the Airport. Bascilly, as the tour leader I have my style to solve this kind of issue. “Coffee? I would like to buy one for you after your clock”
“You have already long gone when I finish my work”
“I know you are kidding with me, you see there are lots of travellers behind me in the queue”…
I realize sense of humor is one of the best way to solve issues.

Build Up
On the day of build up,it is 4th of March. All of Beijing Ann’s exhibitors came at the morning time on the day because morning temperature is much better to errand job due to build up day is without air conditioning. Our efficiency is high based on contractor’s professional job and it only spend our a hour to finish the job. We visited city hall, President house, Military museum, Centennial Post Office, catheral after builded up and we took local delicacy.

Exhibition
The totall size of TEBCC is about 5000 Sqm and it is totally opened for the show, all these three shows were held together due to the exhibits have a lot in common. There are 12 Chinese exhibitors and the exhibits are including pump&valve, fittings, cooling tower, Ventilation, air filter & purification equipment and ship used equipments etc. All three theme shows have its own section and the position of Beijing Ann is excellent and it located in the connection of two exhibition halls. The pumps of Baofeng and Guangdong are really eyecatching and it draws quite a few vistors attention. Most of exhibitors were satisfied with the show and the flow of professional vistors were constant.

Travelogue
At this 2013 Vietnam expo , we made a bold change on our tour schedule, which was proof a wise decision.
TOU DUN, Vung Tau in Vietnamese, is a well known scenic spot in Vietnam, with which we replace the traditional scenic spot such as MEI TUO, Mekong River.
At least 2 hours driving, we arrived at this beautiful beach,. cool and fresh sea breeze spray into our face, refresh us suddenly! The island used to be the favorite holiday destination for the America army, nowadays hotels ,bars and restaurants scatter around the coast, . On the seashore you will encounter the fish men. their fish boats are very special, it is a big bamboo basket covered by water-proof pitch. Local fish men take these big bamboo baskets to fish hundreds mile away from shore. They can get 2or 3 kilos once.
Exhibitor could’t wait to get to the sea, indulged theirselves to this beautiful sea, lying on the deck chair and resting with soft sea breeze. At that time , we forgot the work and burdens. Then at the end of the day , we drove back to the hotel at Ho Chi Minh City.

I have been to Vietnam several times, but only this time impressed me deeply, I had more profound understanding on this country. After back home, when we communicated with our exhibitors, we still miss the beautiful island, even the hot and humid air have become the exotic memory, of course the delicious Vietnam sea food。
