Vietwater’13
On 14th Oct 2013, I become a leader again to take Chinese exhibitors to Ho Chi Minh City a year ago. To show our service concept, we went there from both Beijing and Shanghai and then gathered in Ho Chi Minh airport, because most of exhibitors are not the first time exhibiting.
I’ve been Vietnam a year ago and know something about this country, but I can still find that Ho Chi Minh City, the economic centre of the South Vietnam is very different from the Hanoi, the capital of the North Vietnam. After we went out the airport, the only feeling we have is hot. The two teams arrive to the city almost the same time. So we get together to get our luggage and gathered half an hour. And finally, we went to the bus and check in to the five-star hotel with the leading of the local guide.
Maybe lots of people are not very familiar with the name of Saigon, which is the old name of Ho Chi Minh City. But in Saigon’s period, there are lots of motorbike and narrow buildings.
About the Expo:
Every second half of the year, there will be Vietnam Water held in Vietnam, which is a very important Expo of the UBM’s series Water Expo and also the biggest Expo in Vietnam. The Expo is held in the biggest expo venue SECC. The area is nearly 5000 sqm, and the population even reached 200: the Vietnamese exhibitors are 50% of the total amount, nearly 100, and the Japanese pavilion are the biggest during the overseas pavilion, the amount is 43, others like China and Taiwan are 9, Germany are 5 and there are also Singapore pavilion, Korean pavilion and so on. Because of the professional and the big influence, every year’s expo will invite the minister of the construction come to visit. The minister especially focus on Chinese exhibitors, so he come to China pavilion and asks the opinion of the Chinese exhibitors and the information of the exhibition. Our exhibitors are very surprised to have a chance to take handshake photos with him.
Most visitors of this expo are come from Vietnam. The foreigners only be 20% of the whole visitors, such as Philippines, Indonesian, Singaporean, Hong Kong people, Japanese, Korean, Taiwan people and so on. Our China pavilion uses the color red as the construction main color, which are very striking. And also lots of exhibitors gave us lots of very good advice. We were also learning from the design of other country pavilions in order to make better service for the Chinese company
About the Vietnam market:
Infrastructure in Vietnam is already out of date, and cannot meet the demand of the economic. In some big city, for example Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi, the supple of the water cannot catch the development of the city. Meanwhile, the pollution of the water becomes more and more serious. All of these problems have been concerned by the government. So the government is finding some effect ways to deal with the water pollution. There is a pollution river in the centre of the Ho Chi Minh City called “black river”. Our exhibitors, such as Ligao, Ailipu, Jiangmen Maijiadao and so on who were doing the pump, make a lot of orders from the demand of Vietnam, because of which, they become the faithful exhibitors of the Expo. This year more company from chemical industry, such as Beijing Hengju, Haixing Yinuo, Qintai and so on， come to exhibit. Every exhibitor earned a lot from the Expo and wishes to come again next year.
The tour after the Expo:
Beijing Ann’s Exhibition knows how tired the exhibitors are, so we arrange the wonderful tour after the Expo. The second day after the Expo, we left the noisy city to a wonderful holiday resort--Phan Thiet. Our hotel is near a golf course which is very near the sea. We lied on the chairs of the seaside and enjoy the special view of the southeast of the Asia: the blue sky, the white cloud, the large beach and the green ground. Everyone is happy to see such a beautiful view. No busy work, no order pressure, no noisy traveler, all of this are we want the most. So we really want to ask the time to be stopped here. Only two days of visit cannot be satisfied, hope we can come here next year.
