Asiawater 14 Leader’s Dairy
In the middle of the March 2014, I, as the leader of our company, guide a team of exhibitor to go to Malaysia, one of the ASEAN countries. Shocked by the things of MH370 lost contact, I was a little worried that there are some exhibitors will not exhibit because of fear. So I contact everyone the day before we leave to make sure they are all ok with the whole staff. When we finally gathered in the Pudong airport in Shanghai and talked about the Malaysian Airline System, I found that I do not need to worry, as everyone can talk this thing rational.
When mentioned Malaysia, we can all think about the tourist attraction, beautiful sea, wonderful food. Although I’ve been to many southeast countries, I still wondered this trip to Malaysia.
We spent four hours and a half from Shanghai to Kuala Lumpur international airport. It takes us some time to fit the hot summer instead of cold winter in Beijing. The advantage is that there is no jet lag there. Another luck thing is there is no noisy haze there and we can breathe the wonderful clean air. The five-star hotel with a little kitchen makes us feel like living in our own home. Quick and free wifi give us convenience. We prepare the phone card with fees in it to save the money of exhibitors so they can make the phone to their family to let them know they are ok. Not mention the wonderful breakfast, free gym and swimming pool and so on. But just as bad traffic in Beijing, we have to make a little early arrangement for the next days working.
The first day of our journey is move-in. We get up early and get all the staffs we need to get on the bus. Only fifteen minutes, we’ve already arrived to exhibition hall and start our exhibiting work:
There are five pavilions, in order to meet the different choice of the exhibitors; we have booths in hall 2 and hall 5. Asiawater 2014 started in 2000 and has been opened for 14 years. It has biggest influence and longest history in the series water show in Southeast Asia. The exhibiting area is nearly 60000 sqm. There are 628 exhibitors in 47 countries join in this Expo. And there are also lots of country pavilions: Taiwan Pavilion, Korean Pavilion, Singapore Pavilion, Germany Pavilion, French Pavilion, American Pavilion, Austria Pavilion and so on. There are lots of western pavilion showing the big influence of this Expo. There are also more than thirty Chinese exhibitors because Malaysia is the largest import and export quantity in ASEAN with china
The three days exhibition attracted 28843 visitors to visit. On the first day of the exhibition, we went to the exhibition hall early, clear up the booth and place the samples. To highlight our service, we prepare some candies and lots of paper cups. At about 10:00 a.m. lots of visitors get into the hall. Our exhibitors are busy servicing the visitors, even forget to have their lunch.
--Mr. Wang, the CEO of Shi Jiazhuang Amanda, is a genius who creates his career himself. Because he is a new here, he asks questions about exhibiting and owns the support and respect from other exhibitors.
--The boss of Hangzhou Xingyuan always said that their booth is very good, as the booths near them fit them very well. They are busy the past three days.
When the exhibition is over, everyone got some gains, no one feel disappoint about the show. Although it took two years to join in the next exhibition, lots of exhibitors already booked the next exhibition. We are also doing our best to provide better booths and professional service.
After the exhibition, we change the clothes and feel the different nationality of the country. No matter Civilization of China, or Islam custom of Malaysia, or Buddhist Culture of India, every nationality has their own traditions. We can feel the civilization of the KLCC, the charm of Malacca and the fighting spirit of the Stadthuys. We taste many tradition foods including jackfruit, NO.1 fruit. We also went to the longest cable railway in the world to the Genting Highlands. It is so high that we took half an hour to finally get on the Genting Highlands. Lots of people just close the eyes when in the cable railway. Lots of exhibitors play one or more games just for fun.
When the exhibiting and the tour have come to the end, we are all feeling a little sad. We are all nearly the same age, have a happy time and become friends. No matter this friendship or this wonderful trip are all unforgettable. We are preparing to gather together in Asiawater 2016!
